Leila Fujinaka

Founder - CEO

Leila is a small business owner and has 16 years of nonprofit experience, with a specialty in developing and running teams. She is the founder and owner of Leading With Mastery, a professional coaching business serving businesses and organizations. Her passion is to give a child in need the opportunity to pivot their life’s direction toward success by building a solid educational foundation.

Corinne Yogi

Program Manager

Corinne is a retired school administrator from the Department of Education. She has 37 years of experience as a teacher, curriculum coordinator, and administrator. Corinne is also a business owner who is well connected to community organizations and entrepreneurs that value education and supporting children and families to grow and thrive in the state of Hawai’i. She is passionate about educating the “whole child” and collaborating with others to impact this next generation!

Lauren Arimoto

Curriculum Director

Lauren is a retired Hawaii DOE Literacy Specialist with 39 years of experience both in and out of the classroom. She holds a Master of Education in Special Education from the University of Washington and a Bachelor of Education in Elementary Education from the University of Hawaii. She is licensed in both Special Education and General Education enabling her to teach students across a diverse range from Pre-K to 12th grade and brings a wealth of experience to her role at BBH.

Glen Hayashida

President

Current Role: CEO of the National Kidney Foundation of Hawaii (NKFH) for 27 years, dedicated to improving health and making a difference in the community.

 

Experience: Glen spent 12 years at Kahi Mohala Behavioral Health Hospital as administrator, and he has been recognized as a non-profit business leader in our community.

Sean Nakamoto

Vice President

Current Role: Bi-vocational minister, working for Hawaii’s largest cargo shipping company and shepherds a local Foursquare Church.

Experience: His previous commercial development experience of 20+ years in Hawaii and in Reno, Nevada brings a wealth of knowledge and expertise to our non-profit. He and wife Hitomi have 2 adult children and 1 daughter in law.

Darryl Yim

Treasurer

Current Role: Family Office Specialist
Experience: Since January 2022, I have worked with Laulima Families LLC as a Family Office Specialist. With over three years of experience, I provide comprehensive, A-to-Z support for families, managing financial accounting, budgeting, and a wide range of operational and personal tasks. My adaptable skill set allows me to deliver tailored solutions that enhance family stability and success.
 
Involvement with Impact Change Hawaii and Building Blocks Hawaii:  In this dual role, I provide financial oversight and guidance, supporting ICH’s flagship program, Building Blocks Hawaii (BBH). BBH empowers 3- and 4-year-olds from underserved communities with early literacy and kindergarten readiness skills, fostering a foundation for lifelong learning and prosperity.

Emari Hunn

Board Member

Current Role: SVP at First Foundation Bank and Co-Director of Inspire Collective

Experience: Emari Hunn is a connector, vision castor, and opportunity creator, dedicated to elevating individuals and
businesses through mentorship, networking, and strategic engagement. She serves as President of Soroptimist International of Honolulu and on the boards of ID8 (Project Shaka), Impact Change Hawaii (early childhood literacy), and Caring for Hawai‘i Neonates. A four-time Presidential Volunteer Service
Award recipient, she continues to uplift her community with the spirit of aloha.

Steven Doo

Board Member

Current Role: ASCE Hawaii Section

President-Elect, Hawaii Infrastructure Report Card Chair

Experience: Mr. Doo joined the board for Impact Change Hawaii in 2025 and is involved in the development of its online platform and expansion of operations. Mr. Doo has served in many different community and professional organizations and is a strong advocate for equipping future generations with the tools and education needed to succeed. As the owner of Kaʻe Design, a Native Hawaiian-owned planning and civil engineering consulting firm, he brings a diverse perspective with years of experience in long term and strategic planning.

Lloyd Unebasami

Board Member

Current Role: Consultant in procurement, organizational structure, and internal controls

Experience: Lloyd Unebasami has more than 50 years of financial and executive leadership in Hawaiʻi, including roles as Interim President and CEO of the Hawaiʻi Tourism Authority, Administrator of the State Procurement Office, and senior finance leader at the University of Hawaiʻi and Hawaiʻi Tokai International College. A Certified Public Accountant (inactive) and University of Hawaiʻi at Mānoa graduate, he is recognized for strengthening fiscal accountability and helping organizations better serve Hawaiʻi’s communities.
