Leila Fujinaka

Founder - CEO - Program Director

Leila is a small business owner and has 16 years of nonprofit experience, with a specialty in developing and running teams. She is the founder and owner of Leading With Mastery, a professional coaching business serving businesses and organizations. Her passion is to give a child in need the opportunity to pivot their life’s direction toward success by building a solid educational foundation.

Corinne Yogi

Executive Director

Corinne is a retired school administrator from the Department of Education. She has 37 years of experience as a teacher, curriculum coordinator, and administrator. Corinne is also a business owner who is well connected to community organizations and entrepreneurs that value education and supporting children and families to grow and thrive in the state of Hawai’i. She is passionate about educating the “whole child” and collaborating with others to impact this next generation!

Lauren Arimoto

Curriculum Director

Lauren holds a Master of Education in Special Education from the University of Washington and a Bachelor of Education in Elementary Education from the University of Hawaii. She is licensed for both Special Education and General Education by the State of Hawaii, enabling her to teach students across a diverse range from Pre-K to 12th grade. With 38 years of experience in the DOE, Lauren brings a wealth of expertise to her educational role.

Glen Hayashida

President

Glen has been the CEO of the National Kidney Foundation of Hawaii (NKFH) for 27 years, dedicated to improving health and making a difference in the community. Glen spent 12 years at Kahi Mohala Behavioral Health Hospital as administrator, and he has been recognized as a non-profit business leader in our community.

Sean Nakamoto

Vice President

Sean is a bi-vocational minister, working for Hawaii’s largest cargo shipping company and shepherds a local Foursquare Church with his wife Hitomi. His previous commercial development experience of 20+ years in Hawaii and in Reno, Nevada brings a wealth of knowledge and expertise to our non-profit. He and wife Hitomi have 2 adult children and 1 daughter in law.

Darryl Yim

Treasurer

Darryl is employed at First Hawaiian Bank and has held various roles, ranging from a Loan Covenant Tracking Systems (LCTS) Specialist, Credit Analyst, Small Business Banker, Personal Banking Officer, Paycheck Protection Program (PPP) Team Leader, and most recently, Commercial Banking Officer.

Sasha Kamahale

Board Secretary

Sasha Kamahele is co-owner of a solar and sustainable solutions company in Hawaii and co-founded Acton Digital Academy, a nontraditional, learner-driven school. Sasha’s professional experience spans various nonprofit projects, mentorship, foster care, working with at-risk children, childcare, directing youth events, and program development. Sasha has 2 children. Her daughter is a successful leader and entrepreneur, serving on multiple nonprofit boards and gaining national and international recognition for her own nonprofit. Her son has been running his own business since the age of 10, exploring stocks and dropshipping.

Lisa Inouye

Board Member

Lisa currently works in the accounting office for a local electrical contractor. Her background in bookkeeping and education makes her a valuable resource for this program.

Carol Hoomanawanui

Board Member

Carol worked as an Accountant for the City of Oakland, California and worked for the Office of Hawaiian Affairs (OHA) for 12 years where she held various positions as an Accountant, Land Specialist, Land Manager, and the Chief of Staff to the Chairperson of the OHA Board of Trustees.
