Her passion is to give a child in need the opportunity to pivot their life’s direction toward success by building a solid educational foundation.
Corinne is a retired school administrator from the Department of Education. She has 37 years of experience as a teacher, curriculum coordinator, and administrator. Corinne is also a business owner who is well connected to community organizations and entrepreneurs that value education and supporting children and families to grow and thrive in the state of Hawai’i. She is passionate about educating the “whole child” and collaborating with others to impact this next generation!
Lauren is a retired Hawaii DOE Literacy Specialist with 39 years of experience both in and out of the classroom. She holds a Master of Education in Special Education from the University of Washington and a Bachelor of Education in Elementary Education from the University of Hawaii. She is licensed in both Special Education and General Education enabling her to teach students across a diverse range from Pre-K to 12th grade and brings a wealth of experience to her role at BBH.
Current Role: CEO of the National Kidney Foundation of Hawaii (NKFH) for 27 years, dedicated to improving health and making a difference in the community.
Experience: Glen spent 12 years at Kahi Mohala Behavioral Health Hospital as administrator, and he has been recognized as a non-profit business leader in our community.
Current Role: Bi-vocational minister, working for Hawaii’s largest cargo shipping company and shepherds a local Foursquare Church.
Experience: His previous commercial development experience of 20+ years in Hawaii and in Reno, Nevada brings a wealth of knowledge and expertise to our non-profit. He and wife Hitomi have 2 adult children and 1 daughter in law.
Current Role: co-owner of a solar and sustainable solutions company in Hawaii and co-founded Acton Digital Academy, a nontraditional, learner-driven school.
Experience: Sasha’s professional experience spans various nonprofit projects, mentorship, foster care, working with at-risk children, childcare, directing youth events, and program development. Sasha has 2 children. Her daughter is a successful leader and entrepreneur, serving on multiple nonprofit boards and gaining national and international recognition for her own nonprofit. Her son has been running his own business since the age of 10, exploring stocks and dropshipping.
Current Role: High school teacher and department chair across diverse educational settings, including public, private, and public charter schools.
Experience: His teaching expertise spans English and project-based mathematics, adapting thoughtfully to various learning environments. In May 2019, Aakash earned his Master’s degree in School Leadership from Harvard’s Graduate School of Education. He currently serves as the Oahu Campus Secondary School Director at Hawaii Technology Academy. Additionally, Aakash is the founder of Unleash, an innovative educational technology company creating AI-powered learning management software tailored specifically for secondary school students.

Hawaii (early childhood literacy), and Caring for Hawai‘i Neonates. A four-time Presidential Volunteer Service
Award recipient, she continues to uplift her community with the spirit of aloha.

Experience: Since 2010, Lynn Gomez has served as a Family Office Administrator with Laulima Families, LLC, providing comprehensive personal and operational support to high-net-worth families. With over 14 years of experience, she expertly coordinates caregivers, vendors, and property managers, while serving as a liaison with insurance companies, financial institutions, and legal and tax professionals. Lynn’s client-focused approach delivers tailored solutions that promote family stability and success.
Involvement with Impact Change Hawaii: Lynn serves as the Secretary on the board of Impact Change Hawaii (ICH), a nonprofit dedicated to addressing systemic challenges for Hawaii’s families through collaborative, community-driven solutions.
Experience: Carol worked as an Accountant for the City of Oakland, California and worked for the Office of Hawaiian Affairs (OHA) for 12 years where she held various positions as an Accountant, Land Specialist, Land Manager, and the Chief of Staff to the Chairperson of the OHA Board of Trustees.
